Common Sense Media wanted to test creating a hyper local social network centered around parents and their kid's activities. The new product, called Common Sense Connect, is built around trust, privacy, and community.
Challenge
The feature set would be similar to other social network platforms, but with a focus on local activities. The key was to find the right balance between access and privacy. Coordinating should be effortless, while keeping prying eyes at bay.
Solution
This MVP was designed to support Common Sense Media's desire to use a lean development approach. The beta test was launched centered around a single school, using teachers as moderators and coordinators for school focused activities.
